What You’ll Be Doing

Secon Consulting Engineers is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled and passionate Fire Engineers to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse, high-impact projects where no two days are the same. As our Fire Engineer, you will report to the Director and be an integral part of our Adelaide team, contributing to cutting-edge fire safety solutions across various sectors.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing innovative fire safety designs that align with Australian Standards and NCC regulations
• Leading and managing fire projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes
• Conducting fire risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to ensure safety and compliance
• Working closely with clients, architects, and engineers to deliver tailored fire engineering solutions
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers as we expand our fire engineering team
• Staying ahead of industry trends and new fire safety technologies

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for more than just a checklist of qualifications—we want a passionate, skilled, and forward-thinking Fire Engineer who thrives on innovation and leadership. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or a related discipline is preferred. However, if you have extensive hands-on experience in fire protection engineering or fire safety design—with at least five years in the field—we strongly encourage you to apply.

To succeed in this role, you will also have:

• A strong understanding of fire systems, smoke control, and fire safety regulations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and fire services design software
• Leadership and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset
• A passion for enhancing fire safety standards and driving industry innovation
